Enemy and OpTic have won their group winners match at the MLG Americas Minor and advance to the playoffs, defeating Leader-1 and Winterfox respectively.

The second day of the MLG Americas Minor kicked off with two best-of-one winners matches that would determine the first two teams to advance to the playoffs of the event.

With in-game streaming to only take place on playoffs day tomorrow, the first winners match paired North American Pro League team Enemy up against ESEA Premier team Leader-1, who surprised yesterday with a 16-14 takedown of SPLYCE.

Leader-1 were poorly equipped to handle a red-hot Enemy team on de_overpass however, as a 12-3 dominant hold on CT by Michael "Uber" Stapells and crew spiralled into a 16-4 win for the latter squad.

The group A winners match saw OpTic, who received a bye in the three-team group, enter the fray up against Winterfox and promised to see sparks fly.

The first half was tightly contested by both teams and ultimately saw Winterfox finish 8-7 up by halftime. After briefly losing the lead in the second half, OpTic ultimately stepped up their own defense and began to put in a strong performance, which included Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan getting an AWP ace to make it 15-11.

With Winterfox unable to leverage any kind of opening, it was OpTic who ultimately won the map 16-11 and thereby advance to tomorrow's playoffs.
